John chapter 6 verse 35: "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." We need food and water to sustain our bodies, but we need Jesus to sustain our souls.
John ch 8 v 12: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness." Darkness represents all the evil things of the world.
John ch 10 v 9: "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved." Belief in Jesus and His resurrection will guarantee that we have eternal life in heaven.
John ch 10 v 11: "I am the good shepherd, who is willing to die for the sheep." We are His sheep!
John ch 10 v 36: "I am God's Son." God came to earth and was born as a human baby, one of us, and then He as Jesus was allowed to die for the sins of the world.
John ch 11 v 25: "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die." Because of Jesus, we can go to Heaven and live there for ever.
John ch 14 v 6: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus is the ONLY way to get to heaven.
John 15 v 1: "I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener."
John 15 v 5: "I am the vine and you are the branches."
God the Father is the creator of all things, Jesus is alive and we (the branches) must be joined to Him if we are to live forever too. But God (the gardener) "prunes" us sometimes so that we can become even healthier Christians.
Acts ch 9 v 5: "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting." Jesus said these words when He appeared to a man called Saul, who hated followers of Christ and killed them. Saul had a change of heart and now he is St.Paul, who wrote quite a large part of the New Testament!
Revelation ch 22 v 13: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." Jesus is completely perfect; He has always existed and He will always exist and He is all you need for that joyous existence in heaven.
